Patient2: Oh! I don’t know yet but my husband told me to have a check up here and I do feel I need to see the optometrist because of my eyes.

Patient5: Is that so? You’re right to consult Dr. Franko Delaverre his really good. And thank goodness I was able to avoid Night Blindness since I lacked a lot of Vitamin A’s. So I’m here for my second check up just for safety measures.

Then he checked the patients eye’s muscle whether they were working fine.

Examined her outer eye using penlight after which he used an opthalmoscope

Doc: Ah—I see your aqueaous humor is a little clogged right now and the pressure within the eye this may increase to dangerous levels and compress the delicate retina and optic nerve.

Patient2: And what am I at risk for?

Doc: Your at risk for Glaucoma, This is very serious especially at older clients such as yourself because Glaucoma causes pain and possible blindness unless detected early!

Patient2: What should I do doc?

Doc: Well, my prescription for you is to have a yearly Tonometer examination and to treat your Glaucoma I can recommend for now is to use Eyedrops. The eyedrops help increase aqueous humor drainage. I greatly at advice you to follow a yearly check up for your eyes since the presence of Glaucoma if its not treated early on are: Seeing halors around lights, headaches, and blurred vision.

Patient2: Thank you, Dr. Delaverre. I appreciate your help.

Doctor: No, Thank you. Mrs. Mercedes

Next Patient Child with Myopia

Doctor: Hello, I'm Dr. Franko Delaverre your optometrist. I'm here to check your eyes.

child: Hi doctor. What are my eyes like this? Doctor: Thats a good question. Eyes are very important because it makes us see if we don't take good care of our eyes our vision will go bad or worst we become blind. But in your case you have myopia. Child: Whats that? Doctor: Myopia is usually called Nearsightedness but it means short vision. Distant objects cannot be seen by people with myopia that is why they need glasses with a concave lens. Because these accomodates or bulges to focus the image properly on the retina. Child: Why? How come i can't see the images from afar whats wrong with my eyes? Doctor: Its because the parallel light rays fail to reach the retina. You know how your eyes are anatomically made right? Child: Yes, There are 3 layers which are called Fibrous, Vascular, and the Sensory layer. And the retina is found in the sensory layer. Are there any more eye problems like mine but different? Doctor: Of course, We have the Hyperopic eye or hyperopia usually called Farsightedness. The light rays from objects are focused behind the retina. These are eyes are usually short or lazy lens people with hyperopia are able to see objects far away but nearby objects are blurry. The best eye to have is emmetropia or harmonious vision. Images are focuse correctly on the retina. Child: I know what each layer is composed of like in fibrous layer its composed of the sclera and cornea, The Vascular layer is composed of the choroid, ciliary body is attached to the cilliary zonule, iris and the pupil. Then the sensory layer is made up of retina, pigmented layer, and neural layer.
