Chapter 1
It was quite weird how tonight seemed like a hunt everything around me was ghastly even the earth's aura reeked of a million corpses. And it was really odd when a hand suddenly shot up from the ground at first I would've lost my mind but I remembered the book I had safely inside my messenger's bag. Earlier that day I was tasked to run an errand for a rich beautiful widow to return this particular book to the old library.
I had my doubts at first but Madam Venus assured me that I would be payed handsomely as agreed.
"And so I---MUST DELIVER THIS!!!"
My boots we're old and muddy but these boots had always been with me since the day I learned to kick air.
As the hand forcefully pulled the rest of itself out I managed to finish the zombie off with a swift kung fu kick aiming for it's head. The head flung off as expected with the rest of my foot landing on it then the gushing out of the sticky green fluid.
This thing was common here it's called a zombie or the walking dead and there's also the difference between the undead.
"Ugh----gross!!!" I exclaimed raising my arms up in the air in gesture. "Madam Venus better pay me good hmph!"
There was still a long way to go before I could reach the old library up at the furies mound. I haven't been inside the library but I knew which path to take me there since I was the local messenger girl even though it may seem that I am competing with Mercury or Hermes whatever his real name is---Is just that I took up this job to be able to pay off my dad's debt from his gambling and also to buy a new pair of shoes for the next school year. The scholars said that it was okey for me to wear my only pair but I'm just thinking that everyone at school is implying that I am trying to get Hermes to notice me. psh.
What bullshit jealous people say! First thing they-
"GAAAAAAAHH!!!!"
My thoughts we're suddenly disturb by the scream of a man. It was near and luckily I was able to kill off the zombie with another kung fu kick.
"Jesus Christ! What the heck is up with all this freakin' zombies about!!! UUUUGGH---AND THEY EVEN PICK THE WRONG DAY TO RUIN!"' I hope the pay is worth all this bone breaking errand!' I mumbled while biting my thumb nail.
"Ahem!"
' Shit! Can't this day get any worse...'
"WOOOHOO HEY!" the voice called out to me again.
"WHAT?!" Turning my head around and saw 'W-H-A-T - T-H-E - H-E-L-L?!'
"YOU?!" We both said in unison. It was Hermes the neighborhood's fastest messenger.
"Well this is a coincidence!" He said in a cheery tone.
I looked at him in annoyance. "Yeah whoopie---Right! Bye!" I said walking away.
"Wait!Wait!" He jumped off the tree. "Wait girl! where are you going it's dangerous in this woods!"
"Oh, really? Well that zombie wasn't a bit dangerous and neither was the last one."
Hermes blushed in embarrassment but he continued following me.
'That jerk is he trying to piss me off yet again?! UUGH---Why did I even bother!"
"Uhm, Girl--"
"FUCK! DON'T YOU THINK I HAVE MY OWN NAME?!"
"I was about to ask you that..." He sweat dropped as he smiled at me. That face of his made me want to tear it off so I looked away and kept on walking in my normal phase.
"It's Juta and I know who you are so don't sweat it."
"Juta, Juta, Juu--" With his thinking hand on his chin he tried to look inside if he knew me.
"I said don't sweat it!" I nearly screamed.
"But I heard about that name before...where was that?"
"At Athena's sacred school?"
"Why yes! By the Gods you couldn't be that!"
"The one and only hehe"
"Well now I couldn't believe that I'd meet you!"
I raised a brow and glanced at him still walking, " Oh, really? Wow-am I famous or what...crap" I said sarcastically we we're almost near the old library and as always it looked dark and deserted. I wonder how Madam Venus could be just as boring as the next goddess residing at Mount Olympus.
"Hey Hermes" I said, " Have you been inside the old library before?"
"The old library? You aren't going there are you? It's exclusive only for the gods and goddesses."
"Really?" I sighed, "Then she must've tricked me again." I reached into my bag and pulled out the book.
"By the gods!" Hermes exclaimed with a surprise look.
"Can you stop that?" I said annoyed and embarrassed.
"I'm sorry but how did you came to acquire that book if you don't mind me asking."
"I do and I don't. Well, Here's how it is Hermes Madam Venus" I rolled my eyes, " Asked me to return this book as her under payed messenger girl and this time she asked me to return it since she was tired and bored."
"And are you really going to return it."
"When you said exclusively and when I thought about why this particular book I had already my doubts in the beginning seeing that you are a god I guess it should be fitting that you return it, And that your Hermes they might kick me out or worse kill me with Diana's pack of dogs."
He was speechless for a moment while staring at me with an adorably stupid face then he laughed so loud that it could've been mistaken as thunder.
"What-so-funny?" I stammered.
"Nothing it's just that--Humans are so modest" He paused to wiping a tear off, "Oh, by the go--"
I flung the heavy wood bound book directly at his face. I didn't want to talk to him anymore or even cared if Madam Venus would be angry or pay me afterward I just wanted to go home.

Yeah, I did another chapter 1 this time a Greek fantasy au crossover/romance/school life/comedy/--- lol all the genre's that fits this story scenes. I was actually going to go for Zombie bashing and I was kinda lazy creating some characters heck I didn't even had a name for this Juta! lol so used my own fs pen name XDDD
Anyways I seriously want to describe this world but it's no good continuing from here cause I think Hermes needs his POV told in the next chappie :D
